Years ago our daughter gave Paul a beautiful key chain with the inscription, "Anyone can be a father but it takes someone special to be a dad." I think this was written especially for him because it beautifully articulated the truth. Happy Father's Day, Paul!

For those who read this, Natalie bought that from the secret santa shop at school. I think we sent some modest amount of money, maybe $5 or so (a lot back then), and then the kids could pick the gift they wanted to give. It's very well worn, chipped, and dented, but I still have that key chain.
