Vintage Lady Head Vase

During our little beach vacay back in June, my daughter and I spent the rainy days searching for treasures in little resale and thrift shops.

Look what I found!  I've admired these vintage flower vases for years but have never been willing to pay big bucks for one.  Snatched this lady up for $15!

I had a really hard time choosing from all of these.

She's marked "Enesco," and I think made sometime in the late 1950's or early 60's.  I'm not interested in reselling her but was curious about her potential worth; found her here on eBay for $199.  Yowza!

Bought her thinking I'd use her for scissor storage.  But this is a little creepy, right?

I like her much better with a couple of crocheted doilies sprouting from her noggin!

I had a friend who collected those a while back. She had a huge number of them. Lost touch with her but I wonder if she still has them. The scissors do look a little creepy...doilies look good!

She is lovely. I think she needs a name.

She is lovely...but with that slightly wicked look on her face...I think she could carry off the scissors! =D

I have to agree about the scissors thing, it does look kind of creepy! But I love the vase!

She is wonderful!!! I'm pretty cool with creepy...kinda loving the scissors, actually! LOL! Although, I'd stick some felt in the bottom because the sound of them hitting the porcelain or whatever would make me CRAZY!!!

Hi Cindy. Your lady headvase is a beauty and at a great price too. I have a collection of these and it is getting harder to find them at a decent price. Wonderful find.

You ha a great selection of little ladies to choose from. The doily is a good idea, we don't want to scare her with the scissors. I like how you find a use for your vintage pieces instead of letting them sit on a shelf in the hutch. That would be me.

Lol, that's hilarious with the scissors sticking out of her head! She is absolutely adorable though and there were so many to choose from! Lucky you!!

The gals on the shelf are all so sweet. I found one of the little girls with the hats, I believe she originally had an umbrella in her hand but I have given her a Tootsie Pop!

I LOVE her! How elegant she is! I don't know how you were ever able to choose between all of those beauties! You must of had a time with that decision!
Hope you have a great week! :)
