Some Winter Color

It snowed again this week.  Several inches of the stuff blanketed our town and with the frigid temps, it'll likely be here until next week when predictions are calling for even more snow!

Ugh!  I miss the sun, warmer weather and mostly, color!

So yesterday I made my own color.  Created my own sunshine.

I dug into my stash and pulled out my most vibrant floral fabric and sewed this beauty:

Vivid, red cabbage roses on a sky blue background.

I'm imagining spring popping up soon, with real roses blooming against a clear blue sky.  Soon.  Very soon.  I hope!

There ya go! Do what you can to bide your time and you're doing it very prettily! Spring *IS* coming, Cindy! Hang in there. ♥

Now that's beautiful! I love that fabric. :-) Don't worry, winter never lasts in DC, it'll be spring eventually and then it's beautiful. On the other hand, I miss FL sunshine too so I'm going to go visit in a couple of weeks. I'll tell Florida that you said hi. ;-)
