Country Roads & Muddy Paws

Spring has arrived, bringing rain with it, and our unpaved road turns to the consistency of mud pie.

Good thing I'm driving a pickup truck these days because the mud would surely swallow a lesser car (click here for my "goodbye" post to my little Thunderbird convertible).  This is country living!

The weather forecast is calling for another couple of rainy days.  It's not so much the driving on our road that worries me, it's Twyla.

I saw one of those funny Someecards that said:

Cleaning with dogs in your house is like brushing your teeth while eating Oreos.

Add wet fur and muddy paws and it's enough to send me over the edge.  Good thing she's so sweet and so cute, otherwise...

Oh, who am I kidding?!

I love her, muddy paws and all!

How sweet, you're such a joy to come visit.

We lost one of our rescue Chows over the weekend, but she lasted longer than we expected, so she definitely had a full life.

Hugs,
Meri

Oh muddy roads. How I remember them. I don't miss them one bit. I miss living in the country but I don't miss the mud! LOL. Sadly our little town has dirt roads in some areas. When we looked at houses, we passed on any that were on that side of town!!

For Meri's comment above. I am sorry for the loss of your dog.

She is a cutie...and I know what you mean, even walking around here on the paved roads makes my little Bo's feet all black, so when we come in, I take him to the sink and wash his feet! I heard that it is your birthday today...hope you are having fun! :)

Oh, she is so cute! I feel your pain, also live in the country & it's rained all winter. Trying to clean my dogs feet is now fun for either of us, LOL! Love your cleaning quote, too funny!
