Dressing the other day for my weekly date night with Captain Project, I reached for my denim jacket to ward off the movie theater chill and immediately knew I needed to add a little sparkle.
My vintage dress form is so full of brooches...
...That they've spilled over onto a vintage dressing tray I found at the flea:
Brooches seem to have come in and out of vogue on a steady rotation since the dawn of fashion. Recently they've been showing up again on red carpets, adorning gowns and up-dos. Me? I've been wearing them on my jackets, blouses and dresses for over 20 years, no matter the current trends.
Really, is there a better way to adorn denim?

I wear mine all the time...on my cardigans. I do believe I have every color of cardigan. Twin sets....a staple in my closet. Brooches dress them up. Beautiful collection you have...smiles...Renee

I love vintage brooches. I have quite a collection myself. Yours look beautiful on the dress form - I've never thought about displaying mine that way.
Such a nice collection, I remember I used to love to go to the church rummage sale, they always had some beautiful old broaches. Perfect bling on a denim jacket.

I've yet to find a denimn jacket that fits me. ;( I have monkey arms! when I find one with sleeves long enough- it's way too wide!

Oh...my goodness! Just look at all those pretty brooches! How I wish I had held on to the ones that I wore back in the 60s! My favorite one was a sweet daisy with a green stem. I wore it on a yellow linen sundress on Easter Sunday.
