Hoping you all had a wonderful Christmas!  We sure did.  And so did Retro Revival!

So grateful to have had such a great selling season this year.  And to top it off...

...an order on Christmas day for 13 of my vintage Christmas tablecloth aprons!

Perfect way to end the year!

Dressing Up for Christmas

I've lived with dogs all my life.  Two Boxers (at the same time), a Great Dane, a Doberman, a German Sheppard/Cocker Spaniel mix, a Cocker Spaniel, and now Twyla.  Never before, with any of our other dogs, have I been so ridiculous...

But I just cannot help myself!

Ooooh how I love this Beagle!

Merry & Bright {Christmas Decor}

A peak into our bedecked home...

In the kitchen, I found a small, rustic looking tree and put it into one of my old watering cans:

In the space between the kitchen and living room, I've set up my "forest" of mercury glass trees:

In the family room, atop our vintage radio cabinet (converted into a bar/see previous post here), stands the elf-ish musicians:

My flea market find, brass deer head on our gallery wall now sports a colorful wreath:

And in one of the side chairs sits a pillow I made from a vintage 1950s tablecloth:

Merry & bright indeed!

Flocked Christmas Tree

We bought a new Christmas tree.  Something much smaller which I like.  I love the old-fashioned flocking too!

A closer glimpse of some of my favorite ornaments...

I've checked my list and think I'm finished shopping.

Now to get wrapping!

Vintage Christmas Finds

Here's a sneak peek at the vintage Christmas goodies I've collected over the past couple of months.

Aren't these little ceramic figurines cute?!  The prostrate angels are candle huggers.

The detail on these marching band cupcake picks is amazing!

The little angels are heavenly!

And my most favorite is this little guy!

Not quite sure what I'll do with all of these but will keep you posted.

Merry July & Happy Summer {Christmas Aprons}

Let me explain!

I know it's obnoxious to walk through stores in the middle of summer and be assaulted with aisles of Christmas decorations!  But while most Americans are wading in the ocean waters, picnicking, and perfecting their grilling techniques, retailers are gearing up for the holiday season, the busiest and most fruitful time of the year.

Like a Santa elf, I've been holed up in my studio, stitching away, creating a sack full of Retro Revival Christmas-themed aprons in preparation for my fall shows.  Christmas fabric or not, as I'm sewing, I'm daydreaming about our upcoming trip to the beach!  Sand and jingle bells ~ weird, right?!

Merry July and happy summer!

Post Christmas Glow & A Blog Giveaway Winner

I hope you all had the merriest of holidays!  Our son and daughter-in-law visited us and that made for a wonderful Christmas.

Now we're lazing about, slowly putting away the decorations, finishing off the abundance of Christmas treats, and I'm managing a bit of sewing.  All the while, I'm enjoying the quiet and post Christmas glow.  You know that feeling you get when you're so content, so happy that you feel as though you could burst?  Yep, that feeling.  It started Christmas day when Davey and Yujin arrived.

And even though they're back in Ft. Stewart now, I'm still feeling the love of family!

And speaking of love...thank you for all of your sweet comments to my December 10th blog post!  Your encouraging words really made my fourth blogiversary special.  From your comments, I randomly drew a winner for a set of my Pot Mitts.

Congratulations, Little Susie Homemaker!  Please send me (Cindy@RetroRevival.Biz) your address so that I can ship them to you.
