You'll Shoot Yer Eye Out, Kid

Now this is a Christmas story to remember.  My in-laws gave me a shotgun for Christmas!  As I opened it, all I could think was, "You'll shoot yer eye out, kid!"

I am not a gun person.  Hmmmm...turns out they've been worried about me when Paul's away on business.  Thinking they should be worried about me shooting out my eye!

Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas.  I'm looking forward to hearing all about it!  Leave a comment here so that you're entered to win this month's blog giveaway ~ a little picnic basket full of goodies:

I'll randomly draw a winner from all of your December comments on December 31st ~ good luck!

Ha-ha! Great pic! you might want to take hunter's safety before shooting that thing! People worry about me, too so I can relate!

I had the best Christmas in a long time! I think I had less stress than ever before. ♥

Gosh Cindy. That is the last thing I could imagine getting for Christmas! Guns are illegal in our country. Unless your a farmer or have a very good reason, but you can't just rock up to a shop and buy one for someone!!!
Please tell me you won't keep it loaded.
Happy new year, my apron making gun totin friend.

Did they think about giving you a canister of Mace? Oh my goodness, it looks like you might go hunting.

Jeez...get a can of Wasp spray and put that gun away! LOL

I can think of a lot of weapons they could have got you besides this big honkin' thing! I am sure this will be a Christmas that is talked about for years!

Well, you have to admit, it was thoughtful of them. And it's the thought that counts!

That's great! You know you should sew up a cute little carryin' bag for that big 'ol shot gun :) Happy New Year Cindy...now you'll be able to make some noise on New Year's Eve!

Hey Cindy,
My son is a Federal Agent and the last thing he would let me have would be a gun!!! Or mace as a matter of fact. He said that "Perps" would use them on me. He told me to get a big can of WASP Spray and keep it where I could get hold of it and Spray it right in the eyes. Thank goodness I have never had to use it and I hope you never do either.
Happy New Year

Hello Cindy,
Now you are officially in the club of red neck country folks. I am thinking that a hand gun maybe more suitable for your walks with Twyla, just saying. Ha ha.
