Now this is a Christmas story to remember. My in-laws gave me a shotgun for Christmas! As I opened it, all I could think was, "You'll shoot yer eye out, kid!"
I am not a gun person. Hmmmm...turns out they've been worried about me when Paul's away on business. Thinking they should be worried about me shooting out my eye!
Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. I'm looking forward to hearing all about it! Leave a comment here so that you're entered to win this month's blog giveaway ~ a little picnic basket full of goodies:

thanks for the first of the morning laugh!
That is a very interesting gift....
Ha-ha! Great pic! you might want to take hunter's safety before shooting that thing! People worry about me, too so I can relate!
I had the best Christmas in a long time! I think I had less stress than ever before. ♥
Ha! Ha! Take it easy with that thing...we love to watch that movie every year! Smiles...Renee
How funny, that would be like my husband giving me a gun for Christmas! For protection of course, How thoughtful though!
Gosh Cindy. That is the last thing I could imagine getting for Christmas! Guns are illegal in our country. Unless your a farmer or have a very good reason, but you can't just rock up to a shop and buy one for someone!!!
Please tell me you won't keep it loaded.
Happy new year, my apron making gun totin friend.

Did they think about giving you a canister of Mace? Oh my goodness, it looks like you might go hunting.
Jeez...get a can of Wasp spray and put that gun away! LOL
I can think of a lot of weapons they could have got you besides this big honkin' thing! I am sure this will be a Christmas that is talked about for years!
Well, you have to admit, it was thoughtful of them. And it's the thought that counts!
that's the most unique Christmas gift I've seen so far. You look like a natural.
That's great! You know you should sew up a cute little carryin' bag for that big 'ol shot gun :) Happy New Year Cindy...now you'll be able to make some noise on New Year's Eve!
Hey Cindy,
My son is a Federal Agent and the last thing he would let me have would be a gun!!! Or mace as a matter of fact. He said that "Perps" would use them on me. He told me to get a big can of WASP Spray and keep it where I could get hold of it and Spray it right in the eyes. Thank goodness I have never had to use it and I hope you never do either.
Happy New Year
Susan
Hello Cindy,
Now you are officially in the club of red neck country folks. I am thinking that a hand gun maybe more suitable for your walks with Twyla, just saying. Ha ha.
Smiles, Paula
DUDE! LOL! First of all, here you totally can't just give a gun for Christmas...to many laws in the way, but, that is so fun!
Learn to shoot skeet. So much fun!!!!
That still is my most favorite Christmas movie! LOVE LOVE this give a way too! Happy New Year to you! :D
I saw someone had a pink 22 on another blog today. I fell in love. Good luck with that : )
That is a hysterical picture! A Christmas Story is our family's favorite--what a classic. I love the basket you're giving away--fingers crossed!

Happy New Year!
My all time favorite holiday movie! The family's last name is my maiden name and their dishes are vintage fiestaware just like mine!
Too funny, just don't target shoot at a metal target...
