First, I must share that like most of you, I've been glued to the TV, hoping for some good news about the disasters in Japan. Brings to mind the lyrics of one of my favorite Paul Thorn songs, "I'm a Lucky Man":
Somewhere out there in the night
There must be a million people
They're just trying to survive
Barely holding on
I can't feel sorry for myself
When everything ain't goin' my way
'Cause I've got dreams and something else
I've got a reason to go on
I guess that I'm a lucky man
I guess that everything ain't all that bad
There's always somebody with less
I realize that I'm blessed
Now I understand, I'm a lucky man
There must be a million people
They're just trying to survive
Barely holding on
I can't feel sorry for myself
When everything ain't goin' my way
'Cause I've got dreams and something else
I've got a reason to go on
I guess that I'm a lucky man
I guess that everything ain't all that bad
There's always somebody with less
I realize that I'm blessed
Now I understand, I'm a lucky man
Ooooh how I wish this blog had a smell button so you could breathe in what's wafting through our town!
Orange blossoms!
Our little farm is surrounded by hundreds of orange groves and every year for about three weeks in March, the trees burst with bazillions of blossoms.
The sweet smell floats on the spring breezes, perfuming the entire town. I snapped these pictures yesterday and it should've taken me just a couple of minutes but I tresspassed through this grove for about an hour enjoying the smell close up ~ it's the best!
Here's our litle orange tree we planted two years ago. Some day it'll be huge and hopefully have some company ~ we plan on planting a couple more:

Hope you're having a wonderful spring day:)

Hey Donna ~ try cropping the frozen/dead branches off your trees and hopefully, they'll rebound (we did this last year and it worked!). Good luck:)
The orange blossom must be heavenly.
