First came the Polar Vortex and now we're experiencing another Arctic blast. This dry, winter weather is making my poor hair super dry and frizzy! Yesterday I decided to play cosmetologist and treat my hair to a much needed deep conditioning treatment.
To begin, I showered and shampooed my hair. Then I slathered on a generous handful of conditioner but instead of rinsing it out, left it in my hair. After I jumped out of the shower, I combed my hair to more evenly distribute the conditioner...
The last step in the deep conditioning process is the easiest ~ I went about my day for 30 minutes. I chose to do some intellectual reading.
My shower caps trap the natural heat from your body, helping the hair cuticles open and absorb the conditioner.
(Is Twyla rolling her eyes at me?)
After 30 minutes, I rinsed out the conditioner and styled my hair as usual. It's so soft and shiny now! And my shower cap, the inside smeared with conditioner? No worries, it's washable!
This shower cap is one of my newest designs and features elephants in shades of radiant orchid (Pantone's Color of 2014), chartreuse, aqua blue, and grey. I have 60 different fabric choices available in my Etsy shop if you want a closer look.
Hope you all have a good hair day!

That's a good idea! I've been having problems with static in my hair, I look like someone scared me sometimes!
Yes, I do believe she's rolling her eyes! I'm having trouble too, yes, right here in SW Florida, with the toll our cool-ish weather has taken with my frizzy hair. I must try your technique. And your caps are just darling!
That is such a nicer way to do that. Than using the clear ones. I am just loving your caps. I will have to contact you my dear really soon.
Hugs

You and your caps are just way too cute! But Twyla wins the award for most adorable! ;) I gotta get me a shower cap, as I always say… I'm such a procrastinator, it's seriously getting worse! Eek!

What a great idea to do with your shower caps, of which I own two and I will be forever grateful for them.
And the best part is, you looked so darn cute while waiting that 30 minutes! I need to do this.
hugs,

I think Twyla wants her own shower cap....just like mom's! Love the pattern on this cap!
Great idea!! I need to wash my beautiful Retro Revival shower cap anyway. I don't think Twyla was rolling her eyes at you. Like Chris said above, she needs her own! How cute would that be??
