Trees Exploding With Color

We never made it up to Skyline Drive and instead spent some time over the weekend appreciating the exploding color in our own neighborhood.

This lake and walking path is a block from our home ~ lucky us!

Color this recently-transplanted Florida couple impressed.

While my Florida blood is having a hard time adjusting to the cold, it seems a bit easier with all of this color bursting from the trees.

Even the leaves that have fallen into the water are beautiful.

The sound of leaf blowers is almost constant.  But I'm enjoying it all because before long there will be a quite silence and snow will be fluttering down on the trees.

Inspired by the color of the trees, I've stitched up quite a few fall aprons.

With Thanksgiving just around the corner, and lots of parties too, a Retro Revival apron makes for a wonderful hostess gift!  You can find them on my website and in my Etsy shop.

Hope you have a great day!

Those are adorable! I like the green apple print...perfect for FALL!
You have some beautiful scenery there.
Our leaves are all green...nothing showy. Then brown--then the trees will be naked.(like overnight...somebody comes and steals the leaves)
