Sleeping Beauties: Retro Revival Launches Sleep Bonnet Line

I've had many requests over the past two years for custom-made sleep bonnets.

I really had no idea that so many people use these ~ for various reasons.  One of my customers (you may recognize her ~ she was a winner of my joint Facebook contest with J&O Fabrics), Charity, ordered one a few months ago to protect her gorgeous hair from the damage caused by cotton pillow cases:

Other customers have told me sleeping in a bonnet helps preserve their hair do and still others wear them as a cover for their hair rollers.  As the requests continue to arrive, I've decided to launch an official line of these on my website and Etsy shop.  I think of them as my sleeping beauties!  I line the inside of them with luxurious satin:

Of course launching a new line means I need new photos ~ any excuse to take cheesy pictures that will hopefully draw attention to my products!  Here's to making you smile (or cringe, I dunno?!):

Leave a comment and let me know if you're laughing or wincing ~ either way, you'll be entered to win this month's blog giveaway:

...A Whoopsie Daisies steering wheel cover!  Drawing on 9/30 ~ good luck!

I think they are adorable! and so very useful to keep hair in place and avoid bed head in the morning...I have a feeling my husband would cringe and find it utterly unappealing :( perhaps most men would. But who cares!? I think they are awesome! :)

How cute! I would love to wear one of these, however, having all the medical issues I have, plus major hot flashes, it would just become a soggy rag on my head.....ooooh yuck! Love your piccy's though, and best of luck to you in this new endeavor. Now, did I win the steering wheel cover or not????.....LOL

Okay, I hope I do.

Hugs,
Meri

First off Charity is the most darling model. Love her. And these are just as cute as ever. You always make them over the top cute. Love my Patti Ballard prints and she is just amazing. Thanks for the gift. I can just see a row of ladies sittin around the kitchen table in their house coats sporting these...smiles...Renee

I have two of your bonnets. I use them to protect my hair in the shower. You are modeling one of mine. I love them. I would recommend them. They are adorable.

I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVVEE these! YES!! Lining them with satin is brilliant.
I was thinking of getting one of these - not to preserve my hair do - because I have thin blond hair that gets so oily I MUST wash it every single day. UGH! But , this would keep it from breaking off on the rough pillow case.
OH! Please enter me in the steering wheel cover!
Thank you for the anniversary wishes - we had a blast!
Now , back to writing the book.
Have a pretty day!!

I am so glad I stumbled upon your blog. The sleeping bonnets are so cute, it just makes me want to have one! My husband will laugh, but he thinks I am a little weird anyways! Maybe I should get one for him, my daughter has thick curly waist length hair. She could really benefit from this bonnet. What a great return to a great idea! Wishing this line much success!

I'm smiling! I just became your newest follower and love your sleeping bonnets. My daughter sleeps with a bandana on her head to keep the frizzies at bay, but this would be SO much cuter.

Bet these would be fun as chemo caps esp with the soft lining.
