Our Orange Grove

Looking out into our back yard yesterday, I noticed a bunch of oranges hanging from several trees.  When I use the term "back yard," I really mean jungle.  Yes, we live on a little farm, but it's also surrounded by jungle!

So naturally, I sent Captain Project out to investigate...

As he trampled through the jungle, lugging a ladder, I stood comfortably on the deck, snapping a few pix.

Our property sits smack in the middle of orange grove country, and all sorts of animals roam the jungle (see my prior post about this here: Where the Wild Things Are).  We're guessing that the wild boar or the bears ate oranges from nearby groves and popped the seeds in our backyard!

We're pretty sure these oranges are Valencias ~ the juicing variety ~ because it only took seven to make two quarts of juice.

What's better than fresh-squeezed orange juice?

Sitting out on the porch and sipping it on a warm, sunny January morning!

Wishing you a bright, sunny day!

How cool! You gotta bake a treat for those poopin' wild boars and bears with your new mixer. Ha ha!

The oranges look delicious.

Oh my gosh, talk about fresh oranges! Nothing like having a tree right there in your back jungle! :-)
