For years I've been using pieces of my vintage china collection as wall décor. In the past, I've always used this type of expandable hanger:
The expandable hangers work just fine but they can leave scratch marks on walls and now that we're in a rental I wanted to find something that would not leave any marks. I found these Discs on Amazon:
Have you seen them? They're easy to use and remove AND they're reusable.
"Plate scape" in our guest bedroom:
Here's a look at the other details in the room...
Old wrought iron bed I found nearly 20 years ago at a flea market in Georgia. Thrift shop white quilt covering the bed and my grandmother Lela's hand stitched quilt at the foot.
Table I recently bought from Home Goods. It was a really bad gold color so I simply spray painted it with primer for a rustic look.
Antique cabinet a neighbor gave us many years ago. See the little lamp there? This was in my childhood bedroom. Funky atomic-looking clock is also from Home Goods.
My daughter's old ballet shoes hanging from the closet doors.
I found this white, hobnail mirror at a resale shop in Florida a few years ago. It's plastic!
Cute, little trash can from...yep, Home Goods!
I'll be hanging up more goodies on our walls this week. Living room is next on my list. What are you up to today?
Thanks for the little tour, Cindy! everything is just lovely! It must be wonderful having that lamp from your childhood...
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tip about the discs!

I love the discs...they're British and they know how to hang plates! I have found mine at Hobby Lobby.
ReplyDeleteSuch a sweet room and love the quilt on the bed!! Thanks for sharing about the discs!! Have a lovely week! xo Heather
ReplyDeleteYour guest room looks adorable! Thanks for the tip on the plate discs, I am always paranoid they will fall of of the back of the plate! So I will wait for you to say they held up! I sure hope they do!! I love your daughters ballet slippers. It is the sweetest touch. And funny, but I seen that same plastic hobnail a while back thrifting. Then I passed it up! Now that I see yours I'm thinking, I shouldn't have!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Susie
I love your grandmother's hand stitched quilt and the plastic hobnail mirror. The little white
