KitchenAid Crush

We first met on Christmas morning.

It started out as a crush.  Can you blame me?

A beautiful pistachio green.

I've wanted you since I was a pre-teen.

My crush quickly morphed into a serious infatuation when I realized you're not just purdy, you're super heavy and sturdy.  Strong enough to mix, whip and knead all sorts of delicious treats.

(My BFF's to-die-for lemon square recipe and Alton Brown's Cocoa Brownie recipe.)

Within a few short days and many confections later, my obsession has grown into love!

Remind me of this, my friends, when my backside begins to distend!

Thank you, Captain Project, you're the best Santa ever!

  1. I LOVE the color!!! Over the holidays I was watching my sister in law use hers to mash the potatoes ... how easy was that!?!?! I admit to being a tad jealous ... I think maybe I'll start dropping some hints ... maybe I'll be mashing potatoes with one by this time next year!

  7. Merry Christmas Cindy...what a great gift! I was gifted mine from a dear friend who knew of my desire when she was gifted a new one in Tangerine! Her old white one sits on my counter now and I'm amazed at the things it can do...kneading dough is the best! Have fun experimenting...you could become the town cookie-lady, gifting a trail of cookies or treats wherever you go!

  13. You are one lucky girl.
My hubby gifted me with a new, white Kitchen Aid on our first Christmas together, 22 years ago. Every December, my sister asked to borrow it to make her Christmas cookies. Until I found a beautiful (after I scrubbed it clean) soft yellow one at the Flea Market for her. Matched her kitchen perfectly.
    Enjoy your new love.

  17. Oh girlfriend, I've had one for the past 30 years, and I adore it. I had to have a few mixers back in the day when I made wedding cakes and party cakes, and my Kitchenaid was always the best......it still is. It's definitely a workhorse and you'll have it forever. I'm so happy for you, now send some goodies in the mail......LOL, just kidding, I stay away from sugar now!

    Hugs,
    Meri
