Perfectly Ripe Summer Peaches

Visiting our son and daughter-in-law in south Georgia recently, we picked up the most perfectly ripe peaches at a farmer's market.

I pulled them out of the fridge and started snapping.

Condensation quickly appeared because of the hot, humid air here in Florida.

Oh, the color!

Reminds me of a sunset...

A velvet-y sunset.

They were as delicious as they were beautiful.

Hope you're having a peachy day!

Don't forget this month's blog giveaway:

From all of your comments to my July posts, I'll draw a winner on the 31st ~ good luck!

  2. Wow, those look so tasty! I would never finish that many peaches! We're on a low to no sugar diet, and even fruits are limited. It sucks, but I've lost almost 30 pounds!

Thanks for your comment on my blog too - my cat going stiff and falling over on its side was the funniest sight - just wish we had it on video!!

  9. Gorgeous and summery for sure! Love a fresh peach but last night I halved some, sprinkled with bourbon-laced brown sugar and broiled them. YUMMY. I think more things should be bourbon-laced when the heat is on, don't you?

  10. MMMMmmm those look so yummy and I see you're putting that new camera to good use! The smell of peaches takes me back to my Grandparents home...Grandma froze peaches and my Grandfather would have them in the evenings. He would set them out and let them thaw just until the ice crystals were visible then put them in a bowl with cream...it was almost like peach ice-cream...heavenly. The best part was that IF we were good that day...he'd share with us!

  11. Oh my gosh Cindy, those really do look like a beautiful velvety sunset. Last year our neighbors ordered an extra crate of them for us from their Georgia supplier, and I was making jam for days. Yum. This year I will be lucky to even go to a farmer's market let alone make jam. Oh well. Thanks so much for the nice comment, I appreciate it. Makes me happy to know others are happy for me! I just had to tell you I was looking at your post about Christmas cards and cracking up. You are so funny! and your husband is a good sport.
    Have a wonderful week.
    Hugs, Julie
