I've received another order for two of my vintage doily table runners. What's remarkable about this order is the sizes ~ one 56' and the other 72'!
This is not a typo ~ 56 feet and 72 feet! They're for a November wedding and will be draped across two long rows of reception tables.
For the past several weeks I've been out searching, buying and laundering the perfect doilies for this order. This is what 300 doilies look like:
Couldn't resist displaying them on my three-tiered table out on our wood line.
They're all so beautiful, creamy-dreamy in shades of white and ecru.
I'm busy now handstitching them together and will post more pictures soon.

Wow! Now that's a project. Are the doilies in a single line or do you double them for width? I think I saw something similar on Pinterest. That will be a lovely table when they are done. =D
ReplyDeleteOh, boy! You are going to have busy little fingers. Hope you have a good thimble. It will be gorgeous!! What a wonderful idea for a wedding. You must post pictures of the banquet tables when you get them! Happy sewing.
