Pie Fest Results

On April 9th and 10th, I participated in the 10th Annual Great American Pie Festival.

It was awesome!  Thousands of pie lovers, tasters and bakers strolled the streets of Celebration, Florida (a town built by Disney), eating pie:

Many of them visited my Retro Revival tent:

All of your "good lucks" and well wishes helped!  My customers were in a buying mood and I ended up selling even more than last year ~ yay!

Not surprising, being the Pie Festival and all, I sold out of all of my Cherry Pie aprons:

I met hundreds of wonderful people!  Apron people are happy people:

Diana, the young woman who helps me from time to time cutting patterns, helped me all weekend:

My friend Paula, set up a few tents down from me, had a great weekend too:

Her handmade soaps and other skin products were a hit!

Paula's all natural products are available at Natural Garden Soaps.

Another of my tent neighbors was Patti:

She creates beautiful mixed media art:

You can purchase Patti's art on Etsy and on her website.

I couldn't be happier with my experience at the Pie Festival:)  This week I'm busy sewing follow-up orders and a couple of custom orders.

Life is good!

Leave me some comment love here and you'll be automatically entered to win this month's giveaway, a Retro Revival shower cap of your choice:

I can almost smell that wonderful pie here in Texas (I wish.) You look so cute in you little apron, I guess next year you will have to make more pie aprons. Glad to see that the mannaquin was wearing her pearls, you wouldn't want her to be underdress for the festival.

My assistants love their pearls, Betty Lou;)

Your cherry pie apron is a winner. No wonder it sold out. My personal favorite was the lemons on
black background apron. Love that one. Might have to have it.

Hi Cindy!
I've JUST discovered you and your WONDERFUL blog! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, vintage aprons and ANYTHING retro!!!! I was reading the comments on Sandy's (521 Lake St.) "Peeps" post and saw your name. It beckoned me to immediately click on it and see what delightful images and posts would be waiting for me to see. I had to write straight away to tell you how much I love your vintage graphics and colors. The American Pie Festival pics are wonderful -- I felt like I was there that day! I look forward to spending my day reading all of your posts, past and present and clicking on all the buttons that will take me to your see your products, your Etsy Shop, etc.
All this being said, thanks for sharing your love for aprons and "retro"! I wish you much success with your business and I look forward to becoming you newest Follower!

Love all your aprons, and thank you for stopping by my blog. Can't wait to read your blog on the WWII one, I have my Dads medals from the same war. Still very hard to imagine what they all went through.
