Isn't Amy gorgeous?!  I am always so thrilled when my customers are so happy that they share pictures with me!

She's modeling her recently purchased Retro Revival "Barbie" Shower Cap.  What a bombshell!

Raggedy Ann Apron

Every so often I have a customer who asks me to make them an apron from fabric they own.  Tammie's mother had made her and her sister dresses out of this Raggedy Ann fabric when they were little girls.  She's been holding on to the extra fabric for years, waiting to have something special made from it.

Isn't it darling?!

Here she is modeling it.  So sweet!  Standing next to the homemade apple butter and jellies she canned.

If you ever need a custom Retro Revival apron please just shoot me a message.

She Loves Her Apron!

So on day 1 of the Occoquan Craft Fair, this lovely young woman stopped by my booth and bought a Retro Revival apron.

Then she went home, slipped on her apron and whipped up an apple pie.

She was so excited about her new apron that she posted the picture on Facebook for me.  Thank you, Killiann, you rock!

Bouquet Beauty Creation

Another Retro Revival "Bouquet Beauty" in progress.

A little field of lavender hued flowers meant to adorn a pretty head.

Remember the last one I showed you?

When I first created this (prior post here), I really did it for the whimsy of it.  Never did I imagine it would sell!  But it did.  Two months on, and I've sold several of them (available in my Etsy shop).

How could you not smile wearing one of these?!

Making them is a true labor of love.  I painstakingly sew each flower (this lavender one has over 70 flowers on it!) on to the cap.  Totally worth it, though, especially when I hear from my happy customers.

Ellen shared a picture of herself in her Pink "Bouquet Beauty," and said, "FABULOUS!  It feels good on and every girl out there will look pretty as can be while wearing this.  It has a nice balance and no, it isn't heavy at all.  I will be wearing it while swimming in my pool!  Because I am just that glamorous. Glamour and quality cost money. This is well worth it.  In fact, I am ordering a spare.  Yes, it's that good.  My friends need to be glamorous too when they visit. You are never too old to play and have fun."

I got such a kick out of her saying, "Because I am just that glamorous."  What a hoot!  And I couldn't agree more!

Sip & Shop Home Show Results

Sunday's Sip & Shop was so much fun!

Our living room was transformed into a Retro Revival shop.  Walking in the front door...

My products were displayed throughout the space.

Lots of shower caps were bought, several people commenting about what nice stocking stuffers they'd make.

I used the sideboard to display sleep masks and pot mitts (several of each sold), and hanging from the mirror, my vintage Christmas ornaments wreath (still for sale in my Etsy shop).

In the middle of the floor I loaded our tiered table with my vintage Christmas planters (one sold), vintage planter pin cushions (two sold) and at the bottom, my "canned" aprons (one sold).

And in front of the stairs I displayed more aprons (14 sold) in my old grocery cart and funny, retro tea towels (2 sold) in the laundry basket.

As always, the best part of a show is the smiling faces of my customers!

Overall, doing a home show was much easier than a "real" show ~ hauling my things upstairs and setting up/breaking down was a snap!  And even though I didn't get the huge crowds like an official show, it was still a great kick start to my biggest selling season.

Thinking I may do another home show, maybe in the spring before Mother's Day.  In the meantime, I've got quite the to-do list today ~ apron and shower cap orders plus another tutu tulle Christmas tree skirt order, and another vintage doily table runner order.

I'm a happy little elf!

Babies in Shower Caps

You may want to skip the sugar in your coffee this morning!

How sweet are these photos?!

Jessica, from Once Upon A Time Photography, ordered a couple of my Retro Revival shower caps as props for her clients.

Such beautiful babies!

So joyful!

Exactly how I felt when I saw these!
