Vintage Doggie Brooches

Because I still have a little bit of room left on my dress form...

I couldn't resist these little guys.

I picked them up at the flea market.  Aren't they darling?

Almost as sweet as the real thing.

I'm obsessed with the excess skin beneath Twyla's jaw!  She gets annoyed that I'm always trying to get the perfect shot of it ~ see?  She opened her eyes at the sound of the shutter!

At least my little poochie brooches don't give me attitude.  Ha!

  1. So cute! I still have a little golden poodle-ish pin from waaaaaaay back in the day (1965?) I loves pups and puppie pins!

  2. lol! too bad my Marmaduke wasn't a pin...he'd be perfect with the others! and...I KNOW...that loose skin is the greatest isn't it? Our Golden's was the best...even though it dripped water everywhere lol....too funny ~ never thought of taking snapshots of it :)

  4. Those little doggies (including the furry one) are darling. It makes me think of the song my Grandma used to sing to me "how much is that doggie in the window?" Nice finds!

  5. I love your broach adorned dress form and your new ones will look fab on it! By the way...your photobucket button photo over there------> seems to be broken.

  6. Ok first I thought you were talking about brooches FOR Twyla! But now that I know you're not that obsessed with her neck skin being a good place to put a pin I can focus on your flea market finds, which are adorable!

  7. Love the brooches! And I think Twyla likes to pose (evidence: those couch pics from the previous post) so she's a little miffed at your surprise pics! Our big dog is the same way but, lately, he's actually been posing too. Ham dog!

  10. What sweet little pins. And your little poochie Twyla is so cute!! Isn't it odd how we love excess skin under a dogs chin, but hate it on ourselves? ;-)

  11. I love your pooch brooches. Twyla is so cute. We have to catch our Duchess too. It is like she know we are taking her picture at times and will turn her head.
