Philly ~ My City of Daughterly Love

I hopped on the train to Philly recently for a quick visit with my daughter.  Here's how we spent our day...

Brunch of eggs n' legs (fried chicken, waffles, eggs and sausage gravy ~ amazeballs!)

Wandered through the Brooklyn Flea (now showing Sundays in Philly!)

Natalie snagged this vintage lamp.

She was so excited!

I had to have this bronze eagle:

Flea'ing makes you thirsty, so naturally we moseyed into one of the local eateries for refreshment.  Horsey was thirsty too!

On the way back to the train we ran into a random marching band.

Of course we followed it as far as we could, majorette-style.  Don't marching bands make you happy?

Philadelphia, my city of Daughterly Love!

  1. a Random marching band? Really?
It's been a long time since I've lived in the city...I wonder if there are Marching Bands of Randomness going on in Dallas? Probably not without a permit! LOL...
That lamp your daughter bought was awesome.
Looks like you had fun. I must say... I thought I was the only one to eat fried chicken for breakfast...certainly wouldn't expect to be able to buy fried chicken for breakfast WITH WAFFLES... except maybe Denny's.
    Grand Slam Poultry breakfast...LOL.
    loved this post! Pat

  3. I kind of miss knowing you're in Florida (weird, I know) but it looks like being in the DC area with its close proximity to your daughter is the perfect place for now!
