I'm pretty excited that my plan to rid the world of ugly, plastic shower caps seems to be working!
Little did I know when launching Retro Revival three years ago this month, that the need for chic yet practical shower caps was so great.
I began making these because my hair is a crazy, curly, nearly uncontrollable mess that I don't like to wash every day because it's so dry. Tired of dealing with the ugly drug store and hotel variety of caps (they're thin and rip away from the elastic so easily), I made myself a better one and then began gifting them to all of my friends and family.
As their popularity grew, and word-of-mouth spread, I launched my website and Etsy shop. Fast forward to today, and I've sold 1,201 of them. Gawd, I love my job! Helping put a little smile on the faces of my customers is the best!
Over the past week, I've been busy sewing more caps with lots of new fabrics ~ 25 new fabrics!
My Etsy shop now has over 60 fabric options.
Thanks my blogsville friends, for bearing with me as I emote. I get so giddy that I have to share!
Now I'm going to jump in shower and then get busy sewing. Hope you all have a great day!
Cindy these caps are the best I've ever seen!!

Big things all come from one idea and a need. Looks like you had both, plus the talent to make it happen. Congratulations. My blog is down for a couple of days while my name and URL change to American Vintage Quilts, see you when things are back up and running.
