For my show this weekend (The Great American Pie Festival), I designed pot holder/oven mitts. Flat and round, they work as pot holders:
And with a pocket they also work as oven mitts:
I've sewn 50 sets that match or coordinate with my Retro Revival aprons. In fact, I made them from apron fabric scraps and bias tape pieces.
They remind me of a towering stack of pancakes!
Thinking I may display them in a stock pot...
...Or on a dessert pedestal (you know how I love jadite!):
Though I forgot to snap a picture, I also sewed a loop on the backsides for hanging. Fingers crossed they sell well!

Cindy these are darling and round to boot...I envy your skills. I hate bias tape as it tends to twist on me no matter how I baby it. Best to you. I know these will sell like hot cakes...ha! Smiles...Renee
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun idea! I love the colorful stacks...they're like yummy desserts with the calories! =D
ReplyDeleteThose are adorable. I bet they sell well. No worries;)

What a great idea they look gorgeous. They will sell im sure great fabrics, dee x
ReplyDeleteYour pot holders are so cute and clever. Bright idea to use the scraps of binding and apron fabric. They will sell----no worry. People like to buy a little something, even if they can't buy an apron, they will look for something small that they can purchase. Let us know how it goes.
ReplyDeleteCUTE! lOVE THEM.
ReplyDeleteThe pot holders are cute & fun!
ReplyDeleteCindy, are beautiful, just like everything you do!
ReplyDeleteFriend, how do I buy an apron made by you? I would love, would be a dream, here we do not find these treats ...
Do you deliver here in Brazil?
Hugs and blessings

I can't tell you how much I love these! Super cute and perfect for summer!
ReplyDeleteCindy, they are adorable. I think they will fly out of the place as fast as pancakes. I know that I would love to purchase a cherry set if you have any left after the show. The display pieces are so fun! I love the jadite cake stand. I do not have any jadite, but I sure do love it. I think I need a piece or two, or three, or four. ha-ha!

Jann
