That cheesy 1970's song's been running through my head for days now. It perfectly captures how I'm feeling!
After 2 years and 8 months of living/working in DC (and only traveling home one weekend each month), my husband is home for good!
Hooray!

Hooray!
{Brag alert!} He's done so well at his job (and earned a huge promotion earlier this year) that the company's allowing him work and travel from home! I'm over the moon happy and so grateful that this chapter of our lives is closed and that we can live "normally" once again.
Twyla's super happy too!
He's such a good man. Silly too.
How lucky am I?!
After living apart for so long, I'm hoping I don't end up like Mrs. Kent! Nah, I'm the happiest girl in the whole USA!

This vintage tablecloth apron I made! Drawing is November 30th.
That is wonderful!
ReplyDeleteOh yay! Congrats! What a sweet pic of you two in the park! ♥
ReplyDeleteMy hubs had to travel to Texas 3 times in the last month and I'm so glad he's home for good now!
Love the S for Stupid! Ha! Love Gary Larsen!
My husband had to take a job in a neighboring state. We could have moved with him, but boy it would be hard to leave 42 acres, farm animals, shops, barns and such. So we purchased a huge travel trailer for him to live in. After two years of this going, the company opened up the same branch that they had shut down, right back here! Woohoo!!!! It has been wonderful. I am sooooo very happy for you. It was so hard on our family for him to be absent from the everyday farm life. But we did make it through and we never take the together time for granted.
ReplyDeleteIt is wonderful to be able to just reach over and touch his hand, isn't it?
Enjoy just being able to lean over and touch his hand as you watch a movie.
ReplyDeleteOur family went through this for two years...it was hard. But we came out stronger for it.
So glad he is home!
You should be the happiest girl in the whole USA! I know how hard it is to have your hubby working out of state. Your hubby is lucky to have you as his adorable wife :)
ReplyDeleteI love, love, love the apron!!!
Hugs,
Donna
Just thought I would tell you again I LOVE the apron!!
ReplyDeleteThat is so great! Nothing like having the hubbie around all the time. Happy times you two. :D
ReplyDeleteAwesome! Now time to rediscover marital bliss....lol!
ReplyDeleteWhat a blessing it is to have your husband home. I am happy to see your excitement, and your puppy is so cute! When a couple gets to spend more time together, it is a good thing. Even Mrs. Kent knows she would rather have Clark to herself! Ha Ha!
ReplyDeleteThe apron you are giving away is so awesome! What a sweet thing to give away. Just to let you know.. I want it! Ha ha. It is so neat, how you made it from the vintage table cloth. Have to love the charm.
Now go enjoy your hubby!
Hugs,
Little Susie Home Maker
